2012 USCF Due Changes
The USCF Board of Delegates passed a number of motions in August of 2011 that will directly impact tournament directors, affiliates, and players starting in January of 2012, if not sooner.
Most dues rates were revised slightly. In addition, tournament memberships will be discontinued in January of 2012 and will be replaced with three month trial memberships. The USCF hopes to start offering these three month trial memberships in early October. Like tournament memberships, these trial memberships can only be sold by USCF affiliates at tournaments.

Three month trial memberships will be $15 for those over age 24, with three issues of Chess Life, $10 for those under age 25, with three issues of Chess Life, and $8 for those under age 13, with two issues of Chess Life for Kids.

USCF Dues Increase
The USCF recently passed a motion to increase two and three year regular adult dues effective January 1, 2011. These rates should have been increased a year ago when the one year rate was increased from $29 to $34, but that was left out of the motion. Two year regular adult memberships will go from $52 to $63. Three year regular adult memberships will go from $74 to $91.
In both cases those are the rates for memberships submitted online. Memberships submitted by mail or phone are $7 higher.
